HOW TO REFER A PATIENT

Physicians may refer patients to the Ahmanson-UCLA Cardiomyopathy Center by calling (310) 825-8816. Initial information will be obtained during the phone call or via e-mail to the UCLA Cardiomyopathy Center. After receiving initial information, an appointment will be scheduled with the patient. The referring physician will then be contacted by a Cardiomyopathy Center cardiologist to exchange additional information and make any special arrangements needed prior to the patient’s evaluation.

All outpatients referred will be immediately scheduled for evaluation, to be seen within seven days. Inpatients will be accepted in transfer with priority given to those most likely to benefit from the available therapies.
